Heiden Cycle Works — Handbuilt in Australia

You aren’t a size. Your bike shouldn’t be either.

No S, M, or L. No 54 or 56. Every Heiden starts with your body’s proportions and the way you want to ride — road, gravel, or anywhere between. 3D-printed steel or titanium lugs, bonded to carbon tubing, built around geometry that’s entirely yours.

Your frame. Your ride.

Most bikes are built for an imaginary average rider. A Heiden Frameset is built around you — adaptive geometry driven by your body’s proportions, not a size chart. Pick anything from a 30mm slick to a 2.4″ mountain tyre, handling from stable to agile — everything is down to you.

Built from personal frustration.

I spent years unable to fit on standard bikes — adjusting stems, swapping cranks, spending money trying to make something work that was never designed for me. In 2011 I started ordering my own frames built to spec, and everything changed.

You don’t have to be an outlier to be failed by the bike industry. Heiden exists for anyone who’s ever felt like bikes just weren’t made for them.

Before you build.

A few things people usually want to know first.

How long does a custom build take?

Once your design is approved, it’s a 4–6 week turnaround. Some delays can occur for particular components — ask ahead for clear lead times.

Can I build a road, gravel or mountain bike with the configurator?

Yes — all three, and everything in between. We don’t believe in strict categories: every Heiden lives on a spectrum, and the configurator lets you pick exactly where on that spectrum your bike sits — tyre clearance, geometry and components to match.

How does the ordering process work?

Configure your frameset on our builder, pick your components and extras, and pay a $500 deposit to start the process. A complete render of your frame is then created for you to view and adjust until it’s exactly right. Once you’re happy, everything is ordered and goes into production — and when your bike is complete it’s either shipped directly to you or ready for pickup from our showroom in Brisbane.
